Construction Progress June 2022: The Climbing Wall

The Fieldhouse has gone vertical and the location of the climbing wall clearly stands out on the construction site. This 25’ wall will feature twelve climbing lines, self-belay and top rope systems, and bouldering sections that will give both adaptive and able-bodied athletes the ability to safely learn the skills needed to head to places like the Black Cliffs (which is just down the road and can be seen off in the distance in the first photo!).

Looking east towards the Black Cliffs, the climbing wall stands out prominently on the campus.

Check out how learning to climb in the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse will open up opportunity to access Idaho’s incredible landscape. The Challenged Athletes Foundation team brings world-class adaptive coaches to Idaho, integrates volunteers from Mission43, and hits some of the most iconic climbing in the state at City of Rocks.
