FORGED CHALLENGE: WINTER BIATHLON
Join us for a unique winter biathlon experience at Bogus Basin Ski Resort that combines Nordic skiing or Snowshoeing with precision shooting using state-of-the-art laser rifles. This inclusive event welcomes athletes of all abilities, offering both competitive and beginner-friendly options.
Participants will navigate a snow-covered course and complete shooting intervals using the same advanced laser rifle equipment featured in our Summer Biathlon. Snowshoe and Nordic routes are available with support from our partners at Bogus Basin.
Some level of ski experience is recommended, but beginners are encouraged to participate.
Ski Race Options:
9km ( 3 x 3km laps) | 2 shooting stages
3km (3 x 1km laps) | 2 shooting stages
1km (kids race) | 1 shooting stage
(Participants must be 18+ or have parental consent for the Kids Biathlon.)
Snowshoe Race Options:
2km (2 x 1km laps) | 1 shooting stage

Location: Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse
Attendees can participate in an optional laser rifle trial, followed by a course overview and Q&A with the event staff.
Race Day
Date: Saturday, January 10
Time(s): 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Check-in begins at 12:00 PM
Race kicks off at 1:00 PM & runs through 4:00 PM

WHAT TO EXPECT
Course Options: Choose between a 2km snowshoe course, or 9km course, a 3km course, and a 1km Nordic ski course. The courses are designed to be challenging, but accessible to all fitness levels.
Laser Rifle Shooting: Each participant will have either one or two shooting bouts throughout the biathlon race. Each round of shooting will be 5 shots for 5 targets. For each missed target, the participant will be required to complete a short penalty loop. The equipment is user-friendly, and guidance will be available on-site.
Staggered Start Times: Participants will start in waves, ensuring a smooth flow of the event.

Fieldhouse Ski Wax Party
SKI WAX PARTY & HAPPY HOUR
Join us for an après-ski evening at the Fieldhouse as we get ready for ski season. This is a chance to connect with fellow members, grab a drink, and pick up a few expert tips on how to keep your skis or boards in top shape. Whether you are new to waxing or just need a quick refresher, this relaxed night is the perfect way to kick off this upcoming ski season.

This relaxed, happy hour-style event will walk you through the basics of ski waxing and give you the chance to work on your own skis with guidance from experienced skiers.

Participants will navigate a designated course and complete shooting intervals using new laser rifle equipment. This event is designed to be inclusive and athletes of all abilities are welcome.

Course Breakdown:
10K Biathlon: 8 laps → shoot → 8 laps → shoot → 8 laps → done
5K Biathlon: 4 laps → shoot → 4 laps → shoot → 4 laps → done
1K Biathlon: 1 lap → shoot → 1 lap → shoot → 1 lap → done
Kids Biathlon: Follows the same format as the 1K course (Participants must be 18+ or have parental consent.)
Staggered Start Times: Participants will start in waves, ensuring a smooth flow of the event.
Finishers' Merch: All participants who complete the challenge will receive exclusive FORGED Challenge merchandise.
