We Tri Together
Ironman 70.3 Boise
Taking on an Ironman race is no small feat. The time commitment alone can be a challenge, but there are a wide variety of barriers that make this race daunting for athletes. The costs of gear, the challenge of finding consistent places to train, and access to coaching or support can make preparing for a race like this feel out of reach.
For seven months, Mission43’s Tri Club and athletes from CAF-Idaho made the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse their hub for Ironman training. Here, they found consistent training sessions, accessible equipment, and a community that kept them motivated every step of the way.
“As both a participant and Engagement Director, I couldn’t be more proud of this group of athletes. Over seven months, we committed to doing something hard together. The finish line at Ironman 70.3 Boise was unforgettable, but even more meaningful was the tribe we built along the way — a community of support, resilience, and shared purpose that made every step of the journey worth it.”
From Fieldhouse to Finish Line.
Mission43’s Tri Club gathered three times each week for swim, bike, and run workouts. CAF-Idaho athletes either joined in or utilized the Fieldhouse independently for renting equipment and logging hours of training. What began as a small group of eight grew to nearly 20 athletes who consistently showed up, supported one another, and pushed themselves towards the finish line on race day.
Mission43, CAF-Idaho, and the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse also came together to support an aid station on the Ironman 70.3 Boise run course.
More than 40 volunteers showed up to offer support throughout the day. Their commitment turned the aid station into more than a refueling stop. It became a clear example of how these organizations unite to strengthen the athlete community.
Just as the Fieldhouse served as the hub for training, the aid station reflected that same sense of connection and support on race day.
