FORGED Challenge: Biathlon

The FORGED Challenge: Biathlon brought members of the Mission43 and CAF-Idaho communities together at the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse for a unique biathlon experience. Designed to challenge participants both physically and mentally, the event combined running or rolling segments with two rounds of laser rifle shooting.

Participants were able to participate in a 1K, 5K, or 10K race option. The event also included a Kids Biathlon, which followed the same format as the 1K race. Each race included two shooting bouts, which required athletes to lower their heart rate and focus to make 5 shots before returning to the race.

The event began the evening before with optional packet pickup, rifle trials, and an event Q&A with the team. By race day, participants were ready to take on a new challenge and support each other from start to finish.

The Biathlon is a perfect example of what we aim to do at the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse. It brings Mission43 members and CAF-Idaho athletes together, creates opportunities to take on new challenges, and builds the strength and confidence needed to fully enjoy life in the Idaho outdoors.

Built for Idaho. Ready for the Challenge.

For many, the FORGED Challenge: Biathlon served as an introduction to a new sport and created an opportunity for athletes to build confidence by trying something unfamiliar, together.
